Graduation

Roanoke City Public Schools is excited to celebrate the Class of 2026. Please note that this year, both high school graduations will take place on Friday, June 5 to due a Berglund Center scheduling conflict.

Please review all details below to help you prepare for this important day.

Graduation Schedule – Friday, June 5, 2026

William Fleming High School: 10 a.m.
Patrick Henry High School: 3 p.m.

Both ceremonies will take place at The Berglund Center (710 Williamson Road, NE). Guests who wish to attend both ceremonies must exit the premises between events.

Both ceremonies will be livestreamed on the RCPS YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.

Guest Information

Each graduate will receive 10 guest tickets.
All guests must have a ticket to enter. Anyone without a ticket will not be permitted to enter the Berglund Center.
Guests may not exit and re‑enter to pass tickets to others, so families should ensure anyone who needs a ticket receives it ahead of time.
Accessible seating is available only for guests who need it.
Each person using accessible seating may have one guest sit with them.
Guests needing accessible seating should enter through Gate 2.

Security & Clear Bag Policy

The Berglund Center’s Clear Bag Policy will be enforced for all guests. This includes:

Clear bags only
Diaper bags are included in the clear bag requirement
Small wallets and medically necessary bags are permitted
All bags may be subject to search

The following items are not allowed:

Balloons
Air horns
Noise makers
Beach balls
Any items that may distract from the ceremony

Please also avoid parking on private property and be mindful of posted parking restrictions.

Graduation Practices – Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Patrick Henry High School: 10 a.m.
William Fleming High School: 2:30 p.m.

Practices are for students only; no outside guests will be admitted. Practices will take place at The Berglund Center (710 Williamson Road, NE)
