4th Nine Weeks Syllabus AND Pacing Guide AND Assignments:  Algebra 1 Part 1 Syllabus .docx

Email about the Remainder of the Year:

Hello!

We hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful Spring Break!

We wanted to email out the new Syllabus (attached to this email) for the remainder of the year. This syllabus maps out ALL of the assignments for the remainder of the year. It has all of our contact information on it, as well as the grading scale. Fourth nine weeks and second semester final grades will be PASS/FAIL unless a PARENT/GUARDIAN emails me and asks me to make their student's grade a letter grade (A, B, C, D, F). If you have any questions about the benefit of a letter grade vs. pass/fail please direct them to your student's school counselor.

Once you have completed the entirety of the assignments in the syllabus you have completed Algebra 1 Part 1 for the year. We will not have an exam. The syllabus has a pacing guideline to follow if you want to keep up the same schedule we have been working at so far. If you want to complete the entire course as quickly as possible, that is also acceptable.

We will be reaching out in the coming week to parents of students who have not submitted any assignments. ALL assignments are being graded and WILL go toward the student's final grade. If you are working from a packet please be sure to look at the syllabus for directions on how to SUBMIT your work.

Warmly,

Jessica Fortner & Benjamin Louis
