The Girls Swim team captured their 4th Straight 5A State Title!!

Girls Swim TeamThe State Champion Girls Swimming team came out victorious for the 4th year in a row, winning the 5A State meet!

The Girls won an unprecedented 4th Straight State Title at George Mason University.

The team faced their most talented competition in the last four years and truly rose to the occasion, with only about 15 points separating 1st and 2nd place. Our 200 medley relay team of Whittney Hamilton, Caroline Summerlin, Shelby Stanley, and Kemper John finished 2nd, the 200 free relay (Caroline Kulp, Kemper John, Ruby Isbell, Brooke Knisely) finished 2nd, and our team of Caroline Kulp, Shelby Stanley, Brooke Knisely, Whittney Hamilton) won the 400 free relay. 

Caroline Kulp won both of her individual events (200 and 500 free) to stay UNDEFEATED in state competition individual events through her high school career!

Whittney Hamilton was the state runner up in the 50 free and 5th in the 100 free

Kienzle Hilovsky finished a strong 7th place in 1 meter diving

Ruby Isbell placed 6th in the 500 free and 12th in the 200 free

Brooke Knisely was the state runner up in the 500 Free and placed 6th in the 100 Back

Shelby Stanley finished 3rd in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 fly

Caroline Summerlin swam to 13th place in the 500 Free and placed 17th in the 100 Breast.

Our men's team was led by Noah Bowers who won two individual titles in the 100 fly (team record) and 100 back (his third consecutive individual title in this event). Our men's 200 freestyle relay team of Noah Bowers, Finn Mroz-Roakes, Cade Smith, and Kenyon John finished 6th with a time of 1.29.42 (team record). Finn also finished 22nd in the 100 Back.
Senior Boy's swimmer Noah Bowers won state individual titles at the state meet in 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. It was the third straight win in the backstroke event for the North Carolina State signee.
